Is Kata Beach safe?
Kata beach is a very safe place for tourists to spend their holidays. Even late at night you will never feel worried walking the streets that are crowded until 2am and even later sometimes. You can also party late, but you must avoid driving your motorcycle after drinking because it is dangerous. Tuk-tuks are available to take you back if you need them.
The only true danger is the weather. The sea can be dangerous at times, especially if there is a storm. Swimming should be avoided when the flag is red. During the low season, book a hotel with a nice pool.
