Scuba diving on Koh Racha Yai Racha Island

Racha Island is a small island located in the Andaman Sea, about 30 km south of Phuket. It is famous for its clear waters and coral reefs. It is also a great place for beginners to start diving. You can easily book a diving tour with any of the many local dive centers in Phuket. Even if you are not a diver, you will still enjoy the beautiful scenery and the friendly atmosphere.

We went back to Racha Island because we were working on a very complex project and needed absolute concentration. We wanted to get away from everything and focus on our work. Racha Island was perfect for us: a tropical island with absolutely nothing to distract us but the beautiful blue sea, a white sandy beach, a fantastic sunset and some great food by our hotel.

There are two types accommodation on this beach: luxury at The Racha and bungalows at Bungalow Rayah Rayah resort. The beach is superb with powdery white sand. Note that there are not any loungers on the beaches anymore.

Siam bay is a small but beautiful beach facing north. It’s home to the Raya island resort, an enormous hotel.
